FAQ

The cruise will be held on 20.11-22.11.2011 ! Meaning two days of joy! The boat leaves from Helsinki, heading to Sweden where you can hang around Stockholm for a while before heading back to the chills of Helsinki. Age limit 21 years.

Q: Is tax-free open?
A: Tax-free will be open during the cruise. You have to know just one thing. You are not allowed to buy any alcohol when the boat is heading to Sweden, but when the boat leaves back to Finland, you will have all rights to buy alcohol.

Q: Can I bring my own drinks into the boat?
A: Your luggage will be checked before you enter the boat.

Q: Can I join the LOB cruise even though I am not a student?
A: Well of course! If you happen to be a party animal and want to have fun, join us!

Q: When do I have to be at the harbor?
A: At least half an hour before the ship leaves, don't be late!

Q: When does the ship leave from Helsinki?
A: The ship leaves 05:00pm, ship wont wait for mate late!

Q: What does LOB mean or where does the name come from?
A: Originally it meant Laurea on the boat, but during the last few years LOB has been just the name for the cruise, which is orginazed by Poikkitieteellinen Pursiseura ry

Q: How much free- time do I have in Sweden?
A: The ship stays in Stockholms harbour 6 hours and 30 minutes.

Dress up by some innovative theme with your cabin mates. Three of the best theme cabins will be rewarded with excellent prizes, during the first evening at the LOB opening ceremony.

Now it pays to be creative. More importantly, remember, that the cabin is dressed by the same theme (eg, pirates etc.)

Competition does not need to register in advance.
